As a two-stage valve, the DG5V utilizes a small solenoid pilot valve (DG4V) to generate hydraulic force that shifts the main stage spool. Expert Maintenance Tips:
Pilot Pressure Range Warning: Ensure pilot pressure is maintained between 15 bar and 210 bar. Low pressure will cause incomplete spool shifting, while excessive pressure can damage the pilot valve components.
Critical Filtration Interval: Due to the narrow orifices in the pilot stage, fluid cleanliness must meet or exceed ISO 4406 18/16/13. We recommend an additional fine filter in the pilot supply line to prevent spool jamming.
Drain Port Back-Pressure: For external drain models, ensure the drain port is connected directly to the tank. Excessive back-pressure on the drain will interfere with the pilot spool’s return, leading to sluggish response or dangerous control loss.
