Expert Maintenance Tips

• Priming & Bleeding: After installation, fill the pump with hydraulic oil through the outlet and manually rotate the shaft several times. Use an “inching” start-up method to ensure all air is purged, preventing vane shattering due to dry friction.

• Suction Filtration: Vane pumps are sensitive to contaminants. It is recommended to install a 100-150 mesh strainer on the suction line and regularly monitor pressure differentials to avoid cavitation-induced screeching.

• Viscosity & Temperature Control: Maintain operating oil temperatures between 15°C and 60°C. Excessive heat thins the oil film, leading to metal-on-metal contact between vanes and the cam ring, which accelerates wear.
