Case Priming: Before the first start or after a long shutdown, you MUST fill the pump case with clean hydraulic oil through the topmost drain port. Never start the pump dry, as it will cause shoe/swashplate failure within seconds.
Case Pressure Management: The case pressure (drain pressure) for PVB pumps must not exceed 0.035 MPa. The drain line must return directly to the reservoir and be of sufficient diameter to prevent shaft seal blowout.
Filtration Integrity: To protect the precision rotating group, return filtration of 10μm or better is recommended. Regularly monitor the oil for water content and oxidation.
